Ms Sharmistha Chatterjee was awarded a UK Travel Award (2015-16) when a PhD student, Dept of Archaeology, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, for a study re-evaluating early medieval archaeology of Bengal, with emphasis on the Radha-Rarh area, Bankura and Bardhaman Districts, West Bengal.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
