Ms Manjit Kaur Chhatwal was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 2005-06, when a PhD student at Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, for studies of the textiles of the Bondo tribal community, and of the use of jackfruit and lac as natural dyes in ikat textiles.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
