Ms Rita Swami Choudhury was awarded a UK Travel Award (2006-07) when Deputy Director, American Institute of Indian Studies, Gurgaon, Haryana, for research towards her study of the cultural evolution of Indian musical instruments.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
