Mr Pratip Kumar Mitra was awarded a UK Travel Award (1998-99) when Keeper, State Archaeological Museum Government of West Bengal, Calcutta, for study and documentation of unpublished UK archives and collections relating to the medieval cities of Gaur and Pandua.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
