Mr Alok Kumar Kanungo was awarded a UK Travel Award (2003-04) when Researcher at Deccan College, Pune, to study 19th century Naga ornaments in UK collections as part of a study of Naga culture, external trade and influence.
Dr Kanungo is (2026) Associate Research Professor (Archaeology), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
