Mr Tiloko Thakuria was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 2016-17, when Assistant Professor, Dept of History and Archaeology, NE Hill University, Tura Campus, Chandmari, Meghalaya, for an ethnographic and cultural study of the ornaments of the Garo of Meghalaya.
