Dr Syamali Das was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 1998-99, when an independent scholar in Jaipur, for the examination and photo-documentation of the terracotta panels of the brick temples in West Bengal as part of a comparative study of the motifs in temple terracottas and Baluchar silks.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
