Dr Sutapa Sinha was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (UK) (2005-06), when Fellow, Centre for Archaeological Studies and Training, Eastern India, Kolkata, for research materials for a study on the monetary history of Sultanate India (1200-1600 CE).
Dr Sutapa Sinha has held the role of Professor, Islamic History and Culture, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, since December 2012.
