Dr Padmini Balaram was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (UK) (2015-16), when Professor of Design, Silpa-Sadana, Srinniketan, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, for research materials for her study of the direct and indirect influences of Indian chintz textiles on Wa Sarasa of Japan.
