Dr P Jayakumar was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 2001-02, when associated with the Dept of Epigraphy and Archaeology, Tamil University, Thanjavur, for research on recent findings of boat and ship motifs in Tamilnadu.

The trust offers funding to students (graduates and PhDs), scholars and museum professionals based in India and the UK to undertake study and research in both countries.
