Dr Nitin Narhar Hadap was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (2012-13) when Head of the Fashion Designing Dept, Shree Mailal Nanavati Vocational Training Institute (MNVTI), School of Fashion Technology, Pune, to survey, study and document Konkan woodwork art traditions.
Dr Hadap is a prominent figure in the field of fashion design and art history. As Head of Department of Fashion Designing, MNVTI) he was involved in various projects to preserve India’s art and cultural heritage, with projects including village to village surveys of wooden temple architecture and creating awareness among villagers of the importance of heritage buildings. Since 2018 he has been Professor (Associate) at the Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune. His commitment to design history has been demonstrated through his art exhibitions at Sudarshan Art Gallery, Maharashtra Cultural Centre in Pune.
