Dr Bishnupriya Basak was awarded a UK Travel Award (2009-10) when Senior Lecturer, Department of Archaeology, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, to consult the archives and manuscript collections in London, Oxford and Ireland, including the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford and the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, London as part of a study of the beginnings of prehistoric archaeology in the Indian Subcontinent.
