Dr Bina Gandhi Deori, UK Visiting Fellow, 2014-15, while Lecturer, Dept of Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, to study ethnographic collections from north-east India in the Victoria and Albert Museum, British Museum, and other museums in the UK.
Bina Gandhi Deori was awarded her PhD from Deccan College, Pune in 2013. That same year she was nominated official nominee of INdia to attend the SAARC Regional Seminar, Sri Lanka. After holding the NTICVA UK Visiting Fellowship she became Associate Professor in the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, at Visva-Bharati University. In 2016 she was the CRASSH (Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Charles Wallace India Trust Fellow at the University of Cambridge for the Michaelmas Term.
She is involved in several projects to document cultural heritage of the indigenous communities in Arunachal Pradesh, North-East India.
