Mr Anupam K Sah was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 1995-96, when Co-ordinator, Sanskriti Pratishthan, Delhi, for a survey of wall paintings in Dungarpur, Rajasthan and other sites in relation to conservation needs.

Mr Anupam Sah is an art conservation-restoration practitioner, strategist, and educator, trained in India, Italy and the United Kingdom. He uses an interdisciplinary systems approach to address heritage conservation issues and links them with multi-sectoral development. Committed to strengthening the profession, he has helped develop over 20 art conservation facilities and has designed and conducted over 285 training sessions.

He is the founder of Anupam Heritage Lab & Himalayan Society for Heritage and Art Conservation. He was also formerly the Head of Art Conservation, Research, and Training at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum in Mumbai (to 2024).
