Dr Danish Moin was awarded a Small Study and Research Grant (India) 2014-15, when Assistant Director (Numismatics), Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies, Nasik , fora project on medieval Indian coins and the art of Islamic calligraphy.
Dr Moin is currently Professor in the Dept. of History, MANUU, Hyderabad, teaching Ph.D., postgraduate and undergraduate students at MANUU and working on various small research projects on Medieval Indian numismatics.
Previously (1992-2015) he worked at the Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies(IIRNS), Nasik, a premium Research Centre in India on Indian Numismatics in various positions including Asst. Director and head, Medieval Indian Numismatics Section.
During his tenure at IIRNS he was actively engaged in the research of Medieval Indian Numismatics. He contributed to three books, edited (as an Associate Editor) four volumes of a Research Journal, compiled a book and about 50 articles. He worked as a subject expert on documentation projects of IIRNS sanctioned by National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (ASI, Red Fort, New Delhi): coins of nine Government Museums were fully documented and submitted to the concerned Dept.
