Mr Archishman Sarker was awarded a UK Travel Award (2018-19) when an MPhil student, School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, to present a paper ‘Partition, nationhood and metamorphoses of the ‘authentic’: the art of ancient Bengal in the contemporary, global, art market, at the Royal Anthropological Institute conference ‘Art, Materiality and Representation’ conference at the British Museum, and to visit the British Museum and Victoria and Albert Museums, London.
