Mr Maninder Singh Gill, UK Visiting Fellowship (2005-06), Conservator, Art Conservation Solutions, New Delhi, to carry out material analysis of component materials of glazed tiles from Mughal monuments at the Institute of Archaeology, University College, London.
Art Conservation Solutions was established and is managed by Dr Maninder Singh Gill and Dr Sreekumar Menon both of whom have more than two decades of experience in the field of conservation-restoration of works of art. Drs Gill and Menon are actively engaged in the promotion of the field at various national and international forums and bodies, and have completed more than twenty significant art conservation projects across India under the banner of the firm. They have authored several articles on their work in journals of repute as part of their academic pursuits.
Dr Gill holds a doctoral degree in Archaeological Science from University College London (UCL), UK having previously taken a Masters in Art Conservation from the National Museum Institute, New Delhi.
Dr Gill has trained and interned at the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi, Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL), Maastricht, The Netherlands, and at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL, London, UK.
