Mr Nachiket Chanchani, UK Visiting Fellowship (2011-12) while a PhD candidate and Benjamin Franklin Fellow, University of Pennsylvania, USA, to study the pictorial traditions of pre-Mughal Western India, to explore the formal structure of paintings and determine their semiotic functions in linguistically hybrid Jain and Vaishnava manuscripts.
Dr Chanchani (2026) holds the position of Associate Professor in South Asian and Himalayan art, architecture, and visual culture in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts, at the University of Michigan.
